We are a small, ethical ranch just outside of Albuquerque, NM. As a family owned ranch, we work with our alpacas on a daily basis. Our herd of alpacas is protected by three Llamas and two Anatolian Shepherds. The Anatolians not only guard our livestock, but our ranch as a whole. The Anatolians and alpacas are wonderful companions to have around!The alpacas are magnificent at lowering even the highest of blood pressures. The serenity surrounding these animals is just remarkable.
Alpacas require a minimum amount of attention. Yet ours are comfortable with the kids playing in their pens and pastures, riding their bikes and playing baseball; they get exposed to it all. Alpacas offer fun, peace, financial stability, a wholesome childhood for kids, relaxing, soothing atmosphere, entrepreneurship, tranquility and a very enjoyable lifestyle. It’s an awesome lifestyle! We started on our dream with a founding herd of the most gorgeous Huacayas. Raising alpacas offers a significant tax advantage by reducing our taxable income (legally) by utilizing the generous benefits offered by the IRS (U.S. Tax Code).

From your first ranch visit until long after the sale, you will receive our utmost respect and support.If we don’t have what you are looking for, we can still help point you in the right direction, whether it is Suri (sir-e) or Huacaya (wah-ky-a). We won’t just send you to some farm/ranch, we will send you to an experienced and well managed farm/ranch either near you or out of state. We offer assistance in business/marketing planning, facilities planning and husbandry planning.

- Our breeding fees are packaged into all one inclusive price, no extra charges and no surprises.
- Free board for your female in our breeding program.
- Free ultrasound testing performed by our experienced veterinarian at 30-40 days gestation.
- Any nonbreeding related healthcare is not included in breeding fees.
- We back our breedings with a live birth guarantee. If your dam loses the fetus before birth, or if the offspring does not survive the first five days after birth, we will re-breed at no additional charge.
When you purchase an alpaca from Turquoise Trail Alpaca Ranch you will receive:
- Free delivery within 500 miles of our ranch.
- A halter and lead rope.
- All ribbons won by the alpaca purchased.
- All records pertaining to the alpaca purchase (full and total disclosure).
- 1 year free boarding.
- Ongoing friendly and knowledgeable support.
